Field-grown garden roses have characteristics unlike roses grown in greenhouses. While both are wonderful and enough to make our hearts pitter-patter, we can't get enough of the quirks and charm of the varieties we grow locally. Field-grown roses grow with the whims of Mother Nature, face the battle of emerging in the company of beetles, caterpillars, and the occasional critter that makes its way in looking for grubs. They will fill your nose with their sweet familiar fragrance, spark joy with bursts of color, and are as unique from bloom to bloom as we are to each other.
